Steve made clear that the construction industry backs the ambition to get Britain building. But delivering safe, sustainable communities requires more than headline targets.
If government is serious about delivering 1.5 million resilient new homes, planning, flood strategy, infrastructure and tax policy must be properly aligned. That means working closely with the sector and the wider supply chain responsible for turning policy into homes on the ground.
