The CPA has updated its Policy Briefing on Full Expensing, highlighting the need for the government to set out in full, the timetable it will follow in order to extend the allowance to the plant-hire industry. CPA members remain excluded from claiming the allowance and while successive governments have committed to extending the allowance to the rental and leasing industries, the commitment only states ‘when fiscal conditions allow’. This remains a vague promise which does not provide any certainty or assurance for our members. Further detail is needed from the Treasury to ensure our members can plan and invest with confidence.
