The CPA has responded to the government’s National Planning Policy Framework Consultation (NPPF) consultation. The submission calls on the government to work with local authorities, housing associations and local developers in building new homes, while also ensuring planning departments are adequately resourced to meet the rising demand of planning applications. The response also calls for the new NPPF to have measures that will improve decision making capability in relation to pollution measures, and for commercial viability and realism to be part of the process when looking at climate change.
