European Rental Week returns from 12–18 October 2026 – and the CPA is encouraging members to get involved and showcase the people, businesses and equipment that make the UK plant-hire industry such an important part of the wider rental sector.
We’re proud that the UK has the largest, most developed rental market in Europe.
European Rental Week (ERW) is an annual campaign coordinated by the European Rental Association (ERA), bringing companies and associations together across Europe to raise awareness of the benefits of rental and strengthen the industry’s collective voice.
Now in its fifth year, European Rental Week will focus on three key pillars:
Sustainability – Highlighting how rental supports a more resource-efficient economy through shared equipment use, reduced idle capacity, maintenance and reuse.
People & Skills – Celebrating the people behind the rental industry, the career opportunities it provides and the way new technologies, digital tools and AI are shaping its future.
Business Value of Rental – Demonstrating how rental provides flexibility, cost efficiency and access to the right equipment at the right time, helping businesses improve productivity and respond to changing demands.
How Can You Get Involved?
There are lots of ways to take part in European Rental Week, and you don’t need to organise anything complicated.
The European Rental Week website at European Rental Week has a range of tools, resources and downloadable materials to help you get started, including social media assets and ideas for showcasing rental in action.
One simple way to get involved is to Share Your Rental Week Moment. During 12–18 October, share a photo or short video on your social channels showing what plant-hire looks like in your business. This could highlight your people, a project, equipment, sustainability initiatives, training or anything else that demonstrates the value of rental.
Where possible, link your post to one of the three ERW pillars – Sustainability, People & Skills or Business Value of Rental – and use #RentalWeek2026.
Another easy option is Rental Made It Possible. Put a Rental Made It Possible sticker on a machine or at a site, take a photo and share it on your social channels using #RentalWeek2026.
Stickers are available from CPA by emailing enquiries@cpa.uk.net, or you can download and print your own from the European Rental Week website.
And remember, it doesn’t have to be an actual sticker – you can simply print the artwork on a standard printer and use it to highlight rental in action.
The European Rental Association is also hosting a live kick-off meeting online on the first day of European Rental Week on Monday 12th October at 1pm. You’ll get a clear overview of the week, the key campaigns, and practical ideas to activate your company from day one. You can register at European Rental Week 2026 Kick-off Live | LinkedIn
