17th July marked the Annual CPA Golf Day hosted at Rutland Water Golf Course which has an 18-hole Championship Normanton course on the edge of Rutland Water near Oakham.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the event. We welcomed 50 players at Rutland Water, making up a total of 13 teams. Spirits were high and there were plenty of good swings in support of the Lighthouse construction charity which provides emotional, physical and financial support to the construction community and their families.
Special thanks to Lighthouse Golf Operations Manager Helen Hutchinson who helped organise the event and ensured its smooth running, and to Bill Hill and Hannah Bowen who represented Lighthouse on the day itself.

Huge thanks also go to the Golf Day sponsors, who have helped boost the charity donation, namely the Headline Sponsor Bruce Burke & Co, Longest Drive Sponsor Record360, Nearest the Pin Sponsor Promontory and 19th Hole Sponsor LLCR Consulting.
There were some impressive glass awards up for grabs for the winners of the competition. The competition was an individual stableford, together with a team stableford competition. Prizes were awarded for the winning individual and team, as well as Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive.
Congratulations to Crane Hire Midlands who were victorious as team winners with players Jim Leishman, Ben Botham, Jack Walker-Tully and Henry Douglas. The individual competition was a very close call and following a countback, the winner was declared to be Jim Leishman of Crane Hire Midlands. Lee Fensome of Tower Cranes UK won Nearest the Pin and Harry Shaw of Crane Hire Midlands won the Longest Drive.
