CPA CIG_TCIG 2503 Requirements for Lifting Equipment Adjacent to Railways Controlled by Network Rail

This guidance provides clarity about oversailing of Network Rail (NR) infrastructures by all types of crane due to the inherent risks to NR operations, personnel, the travelling public etc and the requirements that must be taken. Where lifting operations are being taken near to NR infrastructure, a series of requirements in a hierarchy needs to be followed, including notification requirements to NR. This document was updated in late 2025 in conjunction with NR.
