CPA is pleased to announce the appointment of Mel Edwards in a new role as Training and Skills Support Manager.
This is a primarily member-facing role which has been created in order to interact with, and provide ongoing support to, the membership in terms of their training, recruitment and funding needs. Mel will further provide direct assistance for our increasing and much-needed work on careers and promoting the sector in general to all age ranges.
Mel started her career at CITB, commencing originally in an administration role involved with plant card and certification schemes, namely CTA and CPCS and included providing guidance on plant grants and finding, followed by setting up the CPCS logbook monitoring programme, involving daily face-to-face visits with employers. She then joined the CPCS development and delivery departments in a supporting and development role before joining CPA Member Falcon Cranes as their training manager to manage and further their training centre. Through this, Mel gained extensive experience of procuring and managing a large range of training and certification requirements, as well as dealing with funding and grant claims.
Mel looks forward to engaging with the membership and we warmly welcome her to the CPA team.
