The CPA has joined a host of leading companies and trade associations in writing to the Prime Minister, outlining our concerns towards reform of Business Property Relief (BPR) and changes to inheritance tax.
With just a week to go to the Budget, it’s not too late for the government to reconsider its plans and stop the damage that removing relief on BPR will have on family run businesses. Already we are seeing the impact this is having on business uncertainty and wider confidence to invest and hire. The letter calls on the Prime Minister to change this approach and provide the confidence family businesses need.
