The prestigious awards form part of INTERMAT, the international trade show for sustainable construction solutions and technologies, which returns to Paris from 21–24 April 2027.
The next edition of INTERMAT will bring together around 1,200 exhibitors showcasing construction materials, equipment and solutions for major worksites, public works and the building industry.
For Brian, this will be his second consecutive time serving as a judge for the INTERMAT Innovation Awards. Brian has worked in the plant-hire industry for over 50 years and was honoured with the European Rental Association (ERA) Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024.
He said: “I’m delighted to have been selected as the UK judge for the INTERMAT Innovation Awards for a second consecutive time. The construction industry continues to see exciting new technologies, equipment and ways of working, but innovation is about more than the technology itself – it’s about how we adopt it and the value it brings to people and businesses.
“Collaboration, education and implementation are key to making innovation work, and that’s where lasting progress is made. I’m looking forward to seeing the latest innovations, meeting fellow judges and seeing everyone at INTERMAT in Paris next April.”
The INTERMAT Innovation Awards winners will be announced at INTERMAT 2027, celebrating the innovations making a tangible contribution to the future of construction.
