Through the CPA’s membership of the Abnormal Loads Working Group (ALG) – an industry wide coalition – please see a new Briefing Note on the last meeting with representatives of the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC).
The briefing provides an update on key areas of interest raised by both operators and police forces across the country, including information on Vehicle Registration Numbers (VRNs), further clarity on the existing NPCC ab-loads guidance, which was issued last year, and how to deal with operational issues in a timely and efficient manner.
While the CPA remains committed to work and engage with police forces across the country, feedback and experiences from members is vital. Being able to influence change and demonstrate where issues remain is only possible with evidence.
