The Strategic Forum Plant Safety Group has been working in conjunction with HSE, UKCG, CBH, OH providers and others to draw up new guidance aimed specifically at the management of medical fitness issues for persons operating plant.

Strategic Forum Plant Safety Group - Outreach Meeting The Strategic Forum Plant Safety Group will be holding an Outreach Meeting on 28th June 2012, at Vertikal Days. This will be an opportunity for working group members and others to learn about ongoing projects and the latest publications. In line with the normal Strategic Forum Plant Safety Group policy, HSE and ConstructionSkills will be represented. A range of federations and industry bodies will be invited, as well as principal contractors and other individual companies.
Part of the meeting will be given over to discussing and promoting the latest guidance on Medical Fitness for operating plant. This new document sets out to answer a range of questions around the importance of fitness for the safe operation of machinery, and gives guidance on the steps that an employer can take to meet clients’ needs in a practical way.
The number of places is limited, so entrance will be by invitation only.
